These are a few of my favorite things!

Ok peeps, as promised I am going to give you a list of some of my favorite products and things!

I'm not big into makeup but I love Benefit Cosmetics tinted moisturizer with SPF 15! I usually apply it daily with a bit of blush and a light mineral finishing powder over it...BAM flawless looking skin! http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/

Underneath it all I am a HUGE fan of Lush Cosmetics lushusa.com! I can't stress enough how much I love their stuff! I use everything from their hair rehab shampoo to their dream cream body moisturizer.  I absolutely cannot live without the ocean salt scrub! It is the one product that i truly believe I will use throughout the entirety of my life! NOT KIDDING!

Another product which may seem useless to many is sephora's eyebrow gel.  sephora.com I use it daily to tame my crazy brows! It really works miracles in between my threading appointments.

I love Essie and OPI nail polish! the colors are so fun and I can always find a color with a quirky name to match my mood or ensemble!  Earthsavers has a great selection of these polishes and then some!

I love denim! It goes with everything these days.  My favorite brands include but are not limited to:
AG, Citizens of Humanity, James Jeans, J Brand, Seven for All Mankind...the list goes on and on....but you can find all of these and then some at Jeantherapy!  Yeah yeah I know I work there, but even if I didn't it would still be my go to spot for denim!

I seem to be drawing a blank right now but if you have any questions about other favorites of mine feel free to ask!

check ya later!

Good Friday!

Everyone loves free stuff right? I got to start my Friday off with a free venti soy latte from starbucks!  Someone ordered an iced one but they accidentally made it hot...SCORE! I shared my giant coffee with my buddy Emily (fleurdelicious-nola.com) because that much coffee makes me cray cray! I was off to a good day! everything at work went smoothly and I was looking forward to date night!

The boyfriend and I joined some friends for noms at the Velvet Cactus in Lakeview.  for decent tex-mex style food I'd say its worth a try and the margaritas were fantastic! I loved the atmosphere and our server was fun! She put of with our obnoxiousness and that's more than we could ask for.

I passed on the usual Friday night movie but I would have opted for Money Ball.  There are a couple flicks that I need to see:  Straw Dogs, Contagion and Dolphin tale just to name a few.  and if you haven't seen Drive yet....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???(drive-movie.com) In addition to having hottie McHotterson Ryan Gosling, its a great movie that guys and girls will appreciate.  I need to get the soundtrack stat!  Any flicks I should check out? I'm always open to suggestions.  What are some of your favorite movies right now?

Song of the day:  Band of Skulls "I know what I am"
Reason: Do I need one??

Alternate song of the day:  Hanson "This time around"
Reason: I'm going to see them at the House of Blues tonight! HOB Nola  and I can't wait!

here we go...

So, I have been putting off writing this for a while now.  Not because I have nothing to say, just because I wasn't sure how I wanted to say it.  Why now, you ask? Well,  why not now?  There is no time like the present and I am learning that more and more every day.  So another question you may have is why should you read this....well that I don't really have an answer for.  I guess this first post is more of a get to know me type thing.  You can be the judge here.  I love fashion, movies, music, entertainment and New Orleans!  I plan on writing about all of the above and then some! This blog is pretty much a free for all. Suggestions are more than welcome and I look forward to getting feedback from those of you who actually do read this.  Please feel comfortable, I want us to be friends here!  Well...I guess thats it for the explanation portion, lets get into the meat of this first post!

FALL TV PREMIERES!

There are so many shows that start in the fall, its hard to pick and choose which new ones to watch and DVR versus which ones to pass on!  There are some great shows returning to the small screen as well!  What are you watching this fall? I know i have at lease one show to watch every night of the week!

Lets start with Monday! Of course How I Met Your Mother is a great comedy that I can always count on to be entertaining! Hopefully this season is as funny as all the others! Have you watched Two and a Half Men yet?  What do you think about Ashton?  I thought the show was funny but I was slightly upset by the way they handled Charlie's death...anyone else?  I will however continue to watch just to see where they take the show post Charlie Sheen.  Gossip Girl is a classic...NEXT!  2 Broke Girls is a new comedy on CBS starring Kat Dennings who I think is hilarious! The first episode made me LOL but there were some stale moments.  I do like the way the show is set up, its more like an actual sitcom than other shows out right now.  I think I'm most excited about Rachel Bilson's return to television with the premiere of her CW show Hart of Dixie.  I feel like I will like this show regardless of plot simply based on my love of Rachel Bilson.  In my book she can do no wrong!  I will be sitting in front of my television on the 26th in anticipation of this show...don't judge! Although to be fair I did say you could be the judge so I guess you can disregard that last statement...  Finishing out my list of Monday night shows to watch we have NBC's The Playboy Club.  I love the retro glam feel of this show.  It's full of beautiful people and is bound to be a hit!  Am I missing any? Please let me know.

The only show I'm seriously geeking out about on Tuesdays would be The New Girl on Fox! I am a huge fan of Zooey Deschanel and this show is already one of my favs!  I watched it via hellogiggles.com before it actually aired and was hooked from the theme song! Ok I love...lets move on!

Wednesday nights are a toss up!  Up All Night starring Christina Applegate and Will Arnett is definitely going to make you laugh but I feel like it would be better suited as an HBO sitcom so that they could be more raunchy with the jokes...maybe thats just me!  I am also a sucker for a good talent show, so I will be tuning in to Simon Cowell's the X factor! Modern Family...enough said, my Wedesday nights are booked.

Thursday nights are dedicated to The Vampire Diaries...a not so guilty pleasure of mine!  Whitney on NBC should be good for some laughs as well!  In addition to being super funny, Whitney is also one of the creators of 2 Broke Girls (on Monday nights) so both should bring the laughs!  I can't forget about Prime Suspect! This show stars Maria Bello.  I have been a fan of hers since Coyote Ugly...remember that movie? I love a god cop show and she seems to be one tough chick!

I'm never home to watch television on a Friday night...thats when I do it big and go to the movies!

keep me posted on what you are watching this fall and I will do the same, Im sure some shows will taper off and I may lose interest...it's bound to happen! Ok i guess thats it for now, check ya later!

xoxo,

Fallon

In the event that you are not able to watch any of these shows when they air you can check out hulu.com! Its where I usually go to find TV episodes.  Happy watching!
